Questions

Business. Outline your business growth and how environmental measures have fitted in to the overall farm policy to enhance water and wildlife.

Technical. How are you using technology to protect - and improve - the natural resources, biodiversity and environmental value of your farming business.

Marketing. How do incorporate the environmental achievements within the marketing of the core farming business.

Social responsibility. How are you engaging with the local community and wider public audience (school visits, farm walks, media interviews etc). How do you contribute to the viability of your community and other local businesses through activities on your farm.

Leadership. How do you demonstrate best practice to other farmers? You may be involved with steering/discussion groups, industry organisations, public speaking. Where do you see your farming business in five years time?

Climate change. How is your business helping to be part of the climate change solution? Is the farm seeking to reduce its carbon footprint, looking at ways it can reduce energy or water consumption, aiming to preserve peat or increase carbon in other soils, or perhaps helping to slow the flow of water through the land?
